AWS announced the general availability of the Amazon EC2 X2idn and X2iedn instances. The X2iedn instances are available in seven sizes ranging from 4 to 128 vCPUs with 128 to 4,096 GiB of memory, while the X2idn instances are available in three sizes ranging from 64 to 128 vCPUs with 1,024 to 2,048 GiB of memory.
Google Cloud has announced upcoming price changes for Cloud Storage. This will include changes to pricing for network egress, data replication, at-rest storage, operations as well as changes to Always Free usage limits. These changes will come into effect on October 1st, 2022.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has announced 11 new services across compute, networking and storage. New services for OCI Compute include AMD E4.Dense Compute Instances and Container Instances. OCI Networking updates include reducing overall CDN interconnect costs & CDN egress fees. OCI Storage now features performance-based Auto-tuning.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) has achieved FedRAMP+ authorization.
IBM has announced the general availability for Rocky Linux 8.5 for Classic and VPC. IBM will offer the latest Rocky Linux release only, as support for older versions is not provided by the Rocky Linux Organization.
